Vincent Byrne claimed his second TRM/Horseware National Grand Prix League win in a matter of weeks when steering James Weldon's Mr Rockefeller to victory at Bannow and Rathangan on Thursday.
Having won at the end of June at Cavan Equestrian Centre, Byrne recorded an unbeatable round in the Jump off to win by almost seven seconds.
Eleven combinations made it through to the deciding round in the class that was kindly sponsored by Irish Derby winning trainer, Jim Bolger, but none could match close to Byrne's time of 38.28.
Army Equitation School rider, Capt. Geoff Curran was next best with the Minister for Defence's Ringwood Abbey as they stopped the clock in 45.03 in their first outing together.
Reigning TRM/Horseware Premier Series Champion Eddie Moloney took the next two places with Macushla R and Pashmina K who recorded slower times of 45.13 and 51.03 respectively.
TRM/Horseware National Grand Prix League Leader Greg Broderick took more in his title defence with Rincarina this time as they slotted into fifth place. Although the pair recorded the closest time to the eventual winner, Vincent Byrne, a pole down moved them down the line.
A similar fate fell to Gerard Clarke who also recorded a quick time but incurring four faults left them in sixth place.
Greg Broderick remains an easy leader of the TRM/Horseware National Grand Prix League as we enter final stages of the League.
