HORSE Sport Ireland's  show jumping team manager Robert Splaine today (Monday) announced the squad for the Aga Khan Trophy competition at the Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show.

The five-strong squad, from which Splaine will select his team of four prior to the Nations' Cup on Friday August 8 is, in alphabetical order:

Dermott Lennon/Loughview Lou Lou (ISH)
Denis Lynch/All Star 5
Cian O'Connor/Quidam's Cherie
Billy Twomey/Diaghilev

Speaking today, Robert Splaine commented: "Dublin is regarded as one of the greatest shows in the world and the pressure to perform to the very best of our ability in front of the home crowd always brings out the best in the Irish team."

Splaine will announce the Irish squad for the penultimate Furusiyya Nations' Cup at Hickstead in England shortly.
