2016 GAIN/Alltech Autumn Grand Prix League Officially Launched

THE 2016 GAIN/Alltech Autumn Grand Prix Series was officially launched at the yard of Vincent Byrne Sport Horses on the outskirts of Kilkenny. Pictured with Mr Rockefeller, a 12 year-old gelding by Ard VDL Douglas out of a King’s Servant mare, Kings Aire, has shown a good run of form throughout the summer season.

Now in its 6th year, the GAIN/Alltech Autumn Grand Prix Series will see 7 legs take place in venues throughout the country which started in Cavan Equestrian Centre on the 25th of September with the finale concluding at the Cavan Indoor International Horse Show CSI 1* Friday evening, the 4th of November.

A new addition to this year’s league will incorporate a GAIN/Alltech1.20 class prior to the Grand Prix in the main arena. The overall winner of the league will receive €750 and the runner up €250. It is envisaged that this will increase the attendance of the league and thus support venues/shows who are hosting each leg.

Showjumping Ireland Chairman, Ray Buchanan commented, ‘’I am delighted to have GAIN Horse Feeds and Alltech continuing their sponsorship with the Association, we are very grateful to them for their support and look forward to another exciting league ahead’’.

Holly Geraghty, Marketing Coordinator at Alltech, commented; “The GAIN/Alltech Autumn Grand Prix League has seen fantastic competition over the years and we hope it continues to attract more great entries this year. GAIN Horse Feeds has been a long-standing partner of Alltech’s and we look forward to working together to support the series.”

Michael Phillips, Business Manager at GAIN Horse Feeds commented; “GAIN Horse Feeds and Alltech have been working together for over 30 years and we are delighted to partner with them once again to sponsor the GAIN/Alltech Grand Prix Autumn League.
